The steel frame installation for a new raised deck car park under construction in Doncaster is progressing well.
Metpark UK is on site for Next PLC at its Redhouse Distribution Centre. Just two weeks in to a 20-week build and it’s already easy to see the building taking shape.
Partnering Metpark on the design and build contract is sister business, Raised Floor Solutions. RFS is a specialist in composite concrete floor systems and an approved supplier and installer of Kingspan Multideck which has been specified for the build.
The new 126-space single storey structure is being built above an existing surface level car park. By utilising steel frame and composite flooring Metpark is able to deliver a fast and cost efficient build programme. In addition, the specification of a long spanning steel deck minimises the need for propping therefore maximising the number of parking bays delivered.
Following the completion of the steel frame structure, RFS’s steel deck contractor division will move on site.
