Metpark UK has achieved planning permission for a new raised deck car park on behalf of Meggitt Avionics in Fareham.
The planning application was compiled and submitted by Metpark UK as part of a complete car park design and build contract awarded last November by aerospace engineering experts, Meggitt Avionics.
Meggitt required a cost effective and time efficient parking solution within its existing site to accommodate an influx of staff relocating from other offices. Metpark UK, working with its structural engineers and architects, designed a new raised parking level that could be sited above an existing surface car park adding a further 63 spaces.
Metpark UK organised feasibility studies, tree reports, highway reports, ground investigation surveys and topography surveys to submit as part of the planning application.
Work on the car park build will commence in late Autumn this year for 16 weeks. Metpark UK is providing all elements of the build including steel frame, composite flooring, steel access staircases, crash barriers, electrical lighting, waterproof toppings and bay marking.
